Work in groups of up to six. Step 1: read your card and plan two points (two minutes). Step 2: the creative director pitches, then everyone responds in turn. Step 3: discuss, and agree on one campaign idea and a slogan; the client has the final say.
The creative director
You have a bold idea for a new trainer brand: no famous faces, just a catchy slogan and real runners. Pitch it with energy and defend it.
The client
You own the trainer company. Sales are falling among young consumers and you need results fast. Say clearly what you want from the campaign.
The social media manager
You know how young people shop online. Explain what will appeal to them and what they will ignore.
The finance manager
The budget is small. You think a celebrity endorsement would cost far too much. Question every expensive idea politely but firmly.
The celebrity's agent
Your client, a famous athlete, would love to be the face of the brand. Persuade the team that an endorsement is worth the money.
The sceptical researcher
Your research shows that consumers distrust gimmicks. Use your figures to challenge any idea that feels like a trick.
