Teach Study English is a library of English lessons for teachers and students, from beginner to proficiency. Every lesson is written for one level of the Common European Framework (CEFR), and checked against it, so the language fits the people using it.

Why we made it

Teachers spend hours adapting materials that are almost right: a B1 text with C1 words in it, an exercise with two possible answers, a lesson that needs a worksheet nobody has made. Students working alone often can't tell whether a resource is too easy, too hard, or simply wrong.

We build materials the way a careful teacher would want them: one level, one clear aim, answers you can trust, and everything ready to print or use on screen. It's made by English teachers who use these lessons in their own classes, and changed when something doesn't work in a real lesson.

How we work

Every lesson is checked before it's published

Checked for level: Every word is checked against our own CEFR word list, and every sentence against a grammar list for its level. Anything above the level is changed or taught on purpose.
One clear answer: Exercises are read by a teacher for answers that could also be right. If two answers work, we change the question or accept both.
Accurate and original: Real facts are checked against reliable sources. Texts are written by us and checked against the web, so they aren't copied from anywhere.
Respectful for every class: No stereotypes about jobs, families, gender, bodies or nationality, and definitions that describe the world rather than tell people how to be.

We write in British English. If you find a mistake in a lesson, please tell us and we'll fix it.
