Crumb & Kettle: Small Café, Big Flavours Crumb & Kettle is a tiny café on Ferry Street that opened last spring. There are only eight tables, so at weekends you often have to wait for a seat. Inside, it's bright and cosy, with old wooden furniture and shelves full of books that customers are welcome to borrow. The menu is short, but everything is made in the café's own kitchen, from the bread to the jam. The food is delicious. The cheese scones are the best I've ever tasted, and the staff are really helpful. However, the drinks are rather expensive: £4.50 for a small pot of tea seems a lot. Although the café is lovely in the morning, it gets quite noisy at lunchtime. Overall, Crumb & Kettle is a great place for a relaxed breakfast or a chat with a friend. Apart from the prices, I have very few complaints. I'd definitely recommend it, but get there early!

The Harbour Thief: A Mystery Worth Staying Up For Have you ever wanted to solve a mystery from your sofa? If so, The Harbour Thief is the series for you. It's easily the best thing I've watched this year. The six-part series follows Detective Mara Quinn, who returns to the small coastal village where she grew up. Someone is stealing fishing boats from the harbour at night, and it soon becomes clear that almost everyone in the village has a secret. The story keeps you guessing until the very last scene, and the acting is excellent, especially from the young actor who plays Mara's nephew. The scenery is beautiful too, with wild cliffs and grey seas. However, episode four is rather slow, and one or two characters disappear without any explanation. Overall, I'd thoroughly recommend The Harbour Thief to anyone who enjoys a clever mystery. If you're hoping for car chases and explosions, though, you might want to give it a miss.
